My works are subconscious meditative ecstatic happenings.

Embodied, visible prayers.

I approach each act of creation as its own unique encounter, based primarily on spiritual and sensual impulses to play, release, commune, and intuit. My hands and materials are my guides. I follow where they lead. 

 

I consider my approach to art-making as one of discovery over perfection and dialogue across time & space.

 

The intentions of many of my creations reveal themselves to me only hours or days into process: and sometimes not until I set down my tools, hands bright with hue, and look the finished work in its face.
