My works are meditative, ecstatic happenings.

Embodied, visible prayers.

I approach each act of creation as its own unique encounter, based primarily on spiritual and sensual impulses to play, release, commune, embody, and intuit. My hands and materials are my guides. I follow where they lead. 

 

I consider my approach to art-making as one of discovery over perfection and dialogue across time & space.

 

The intentions of many of my creations reveal themselves to me only hours or days into process: and sometimes not until I set down my tools, hands bright with hue, and look the finished work in its face.
