recovery fashion part 13: wearable nostalgia - new body, old clothes

This is a shirt I loved in high school, when one of my favorite movies was Yellow Submarine. My new body is shifting, and living in this in-between exemplifies the way nostalgia can feel: I am literally living in a liminal space between now and another time, another body.

Strangely enough, the area where I see my surgeon is called Hammarskjold Plaza—and Hammarskjold is the name of my middle school, the place I attended daily during puberty, another time of passage.

Love, R

P.S. Despite how hard this is, I believe it is still far better than puberty.
